9:54 am - Confusion
|
I've started rewriting Iron Hand, as I may or may not have previously mentioned.
However, I keep getting a steady flow of feedback on the original works, but NOTHING on the new rewrite! I'm wondering if I perhaps categorized the two differently, and upon looking into this theory, discovered it to be correct.
And now as I try to correct this inconsistency, FictionPress.com won't let me access my account "due to a technical glitch." I've been fighting with it for the better part of an hour, and can't get in!
WTF?!

12:43 am - Iron Hand Revisited
|
I've decided to rewrite my original manuscript from 6 years ago. The first chapter has been posted on FictionPress, so feel free to read, comment, and realize how much better writing is now, as opposed to 6 years ago. :)
Check out the difference in artwork!

9:52 pm - Holy Crap!! I still have this?!
|
So, it's been about three years since I last wrote anything in this blasted diary.
I've decided to put all of my creative effort into three stories that have been Works in Progress since the dawn of time, or so it seems. I WANT TO GET AT LEAST ONE OF THEM PUBLISHED.
Because of how long ago I originally started these stories, I've had to strip them down to the bare bones of what they once were, and build them back up more appropriately. I've been getting a significant amount of help on all three of them, two of which with one person, the last with another. Hopefully, something good will come of them.
I reread my previous entries, and I was so vague in them, I'm like, "Wtf was I talking about?" and have myself totally confused. I'm sure there were some really good concepts that I've now totally forgotten. Fail, Toni...fail.
Anyway, I suppose that's all I have to say. Until next we meet, fare thee well!

|
I've been going through a rough time as of late, and I've written a poem due to it. I just finished posting it a few moments ago, so it should be available on my FictionPress.com profile sometime later tonight, or tomorrow. As always, feel free to read and comment.

My writing has died, but I've sacrificed a lamb, murmured a few chants and BAM! Like a phoenix, the ashes of my creativity have been reborn!
Through sharing my past work, the need to finish one of my stories has been tantilized to revival. I shared The Sobek Project with my beloved and lo and behold, he loved it. After he expressed that he was anxiously awaiting the ending, I decided that picking up an old hobby wouldn't be so bad. So...I'm gonna try to finish up The Sobek Project...for him. Hopefully, it won't disappoint him.

-she blows the dust from her InsaneJournal-
It's been a long time, Love...
Wow. It really has been a long time. This is supposed to be the journal that I post in concerning all of the random ideas and thoughts that I get that can potentially be used in my writing. And I guess that once I fell into my shulumpu of doom, the writing journal kinda died as well. ^_^; Well, I suppose I should start posting here again, if for nothing else then to pass the time.
My writing has...died within the last couple of months. I'm pretty sure I made a post about me moving in with my father and going to a new school and all that jazz. Well, school took up a lot of my time, even though school is when my thoughts run the most rampant. But the work load of the IB Program is enough to make even the most dedicated of students want to day-dream a bit. It was school, my family, and my past life with my mother that took up most of my summer. And now, here I am with less than two weeks left of vacation and my creativity returns to me. 9_9;;
Anyway, I've spoken with a dear friend, and she's agreed to help me write the courtroom drama half of Iron Hand: The Gauntlet. In other words, it will soon be complete to post! Yay!
Started Chapter 9 of Law and Order as well, though I'm hitting brick walls a lot faster with this piece than with my others. =( I'll try to get the next chapter up ASAP, but no promises...
I've picked up a story I started sometime last year called Under the Flag of Gryffin and it's been taking up most of my time. It was supposed to be a transition of sorts, but since it was never completed, the transition was never made. =_=;; But now that I've returned to it, hopefully the goals I'm attempting to accomplish with this piece will be reached. It should be a milestone in my style and genere. ^_^ [CHAPTER 1 IS POSTED!!]
Two new joint projects have been picked up along this creative journey as well. Even though the Fruits Basket fanfic Serella and I were supposed to write isn't finished, we've decided to take on a new challenge of putting one of her random, underdeveloped plots to paper...or...Word Processor. Whichever you prefer. ^_^; The second project is one with The Turp [who is going to help me write the courtroom drama of The Gauntlet], which should turn into more of a comedy than anything. It'll be a lighter note compared to the normally sickeningly angsty stuff that I write on my own.
And...that's about it...

11:08 pm - Discovered!
|
A friend from my new school has stumbled upon the Iron Hand series. He loves it, and such an interest as sparked my own with the series that I thought had long since died. x_x;
Anyway, to celebrate this reawakening, I decided to post a couple of illustrations.

From left to right: Dylan, Zach, Andre, Jett
This was drawn by my friend Gabby. However, since she never finished reading the story, and never was very interested in it [but that one scene from Chapter 4 stuck out in her mind for some reason], she kinda got Jett and Zach's hair styles all confuzzled. @_@;; Anyway, her style is great and I love it, so I wanted to post this here. ^_^

From left to right: Dylan, Zach, Jett
I had gotten a sketch book from a friend for Chirstmas last year, and this is how I christened it as my own: by drawing a holiday picture of my story, which was mad popular at my school. I think it's cute. ^_^;;

Background: Andre Foreground: Kevin
It looks like Kevin is trapped in the Matrix or something. x_x;; I wasn't intending to do that, but that's how it turned out, I guess. Anyway, his position is cool, I think, and even though he looks kinda out of proportion...he's not. Andre's profile rawks hard, and I think he looks pretty cool with or without glasses. ^_^; First pic of Kevin looking badass, and first pic of Andre without his specs. =)
Anyway, I loved drawing pics for this story, and I've fallen in love with my characters all over again. Maybe I might actually finish another story from the series...Lord knows I have enough of them. XD

I know it's been a while, but things have been crazy on the home front and I've been sick to boot!
The Sobek Project, as you may or may not know, is my latest Work in Progress. It's been consuming what little free time I have for writing, and the main character, Kato, has been the object of my obsession much the way Kevin had been when I was working on Law and Order.
Chapter 2 is up, so check it out and don't forget to leave a review! You can comment on my work using the system FictionPress provides, or you can leave comments here on my Writing Journal.
I'm also interested in twists in the plot a reader might have in mind, so please drop me an idea based on what you've read so far!

It's still a WiP, a Work in Progress for those of you who don't know my acronyms. And I'm open to suggestions about it on any and all levels, so please, comment here or leave a review!
Also, everyone, if you come up with different answers to my little questionnaire, leave those here in a comment as well. Once you read the first chapter of The Sobek Project, you'll understand why I asked.

I wrote this in my LiveJournal, but I want EVERYONE to answer them. It's very important to me, so if you commented on my LiveJournal, please re-post your answers here, and if you didn't comment on my LiveJournal, just comment here.
Fill this out, please. No references to genitalia of either gender. T'would be muchly appreciated.
1) three mammals and three words you would use to describe them [i.e. rabbit- peaceful, calm, friendly]
2) three inanimate objects
3) three male names
4) three female names
5) one random textbook-like fact about the Holocaust
6) one random textbook-like fact about the Nazi party
And please try not to repeat answers. It's important that I get various responses, and doubles will only make it harder for me. =)
Thanks all!

I'm working on another story. It doesn't have a title yet, and I'm in the process of drawing a title picture, so this could take a while. I was inspired by a dream I had, so only three scenes really stand out in my mind, and I'm building a story around that as I go along, so this could take a while.
But here's an excerpt for your enjoyment. ^_^

I have finally given in to the temptation, and have turned my focus away from my beloved original characters in order to attempt what I had once stood so firmly against.
Yes, my friends, I'm attempting to write a fanfiction. With my friend and partner-in-crime, Cat, we're going to write a Fruits Basket fanfic. We've already planned out the plot, which seems pretty cool compared to the rest of the plots we've read in fanfics.
We plan to do alternating points of view from the many different characters, getting each person's interpretations of the events that lead up to the climax. We've assigned characters to ourselves, who we will be writing the PoV for, and all seems well.
I start out with Shigure in the first chapter. Good luck to me; I haven't written a fanfic in YEARS. XD

I've completed my move and am now happily living with my father. =) Yay! That being said, there's much unpacking to be done, but I have my internet access back! =^_^=

With all the stresses of moving, unpacking and my new school, I have no idea when I'll be updating any of my stories. -_-;; I feel like all I do is unpack and sleep. Things are coming along quite nicely though.
Hey, does anyone know how to write a courtroom drama? I need some help for my Andre angst in Iron Hand: The Gauntlet. Leave a comment if you can help, or know someone who can. Thanks!

Oy freaking vey…
Greetings from school.
The craziness of the past two weeks has been grating on my nerves. I move in with my dad on Monday, January 26th, and I haven’t had a phone line since…about two weeks ago [which would explain the lack of updates on all of my accounts].
Writing, packing and studying for exams have taken up my life, but thankfully, today was my last day of exams. Writing has taken off like a shot, and I’ve had so much time [since I haven’t had a phone], that I’ve been working on Iron Hand: The Gauntlet, Law and Order and Iron Hand OVA; all three of them, simultaneously! Yay!
Iron Hand: The Gauntlet- The Jett/Dylan angst is complete. I just have to come up with some Andre angst, slap it between specific chapters, and it’s completed. =)
Law and Order- Chapter 7 is finally completed! I just have to proofread it, and then I’ll post it as soon as I get internet access again. =) Chapter 7 was a lot longer than I originally planned, but hey, when the inspiration hits me, who am I to stifle it?
Iron Hand OVA- I rearranged some things, since I didn’t want to fall into a pattern of ‘present-past-present-past,’ but it’s still only on Chapter 1. I plan to post the revised version as soon as I can, and once the inspiration hits me, I’ll be writing out Chapter 2.
There’s nothing really spectacular other than that in the Writing Department. The exercises my friend Kyle used to give me have stopped since I lost my phone line, but I still have all the things I came up with from the exercises he did give me. Those random ideas are things I can work with, so should the urge to start a new story arise, I’ll have a bunch of ideas. =D

Been reading a lot of angst lately and realized that I should probably stop due to the influence that it's been having upon my writing style. I've noticed that all I ever write about is emotional pain and drama and put my characters through mental Hell when I'm in a negative mood. Although it's a good outlet for my own, personal stresses, it tends to become boring after a while, ne?
And it was the infamous Cat that pointed this out to me. x_x;
Thus, I need to find a better source of inspiration. Or maybe I should just give my poor characters a break and let them be happy for a while! XD The plot of Law and Order has already been planned out--it's merely a matter of articulating my thoughts now--so I'd rather not change what I have in mind too much.
However, Iron Hand: The Gauntlet was going to be another really angsty story, as well as Iron Hand OVA: Sydney Redford-Ashton. As I mentioned before, I need to put a little more fluff into my writing, so I don't put my readers into a depression of sorts. Thus, perhaps the Iron Hand OVA will be a little more cheerful than I had originally planned, since a child is more or less the center of the story.
And not even *I* have the heart to do horrible things to a mere child...
...just her parents. >D
Chapters 5 and 6 of Law and Order are posted, and Chapter 7 is currently in the process of having a Writer's Block Wall torn down. Since I'll be moving in roughly two weeks, and I have mid-terms coming up, I'm not sure of how much time I can dedicate to writing. Perhaps I should just read for a while and see what ideas spark my interest and what ideas I can 'spin off' of more or less.

Chapters 5 and 6 of Law and Order have been completed. Unfortunately, they desperately needed to undergo some serious editing [Chapter 5 more so than Chapter 6], and I'm awaiting their completion before I post them. Chapter 7 started off without a hitch, but I've now hit a brick wall. x_x; I need to come up with some sort of an idea...
...how about switching Point of View and writing from first person? I could write one chapter from André's PoV, and then the following chapter could be from Kevin's. I did it in Iron Hand, but one of my most trusted friends wasn't fond of the random and sudden change in PoV. -_-;; I guess hitting brick walls in writing isn't common for her...
In other news, I go back to school tomorrow, mid-terms start on the 16th, and since I'm moving and much packing needs to be done, I don't know how much time I'll have, if any, for writing. Between studying, packing and trying to make some last-minute memories with my friends, I think I'll be quite busy. However, the move itself shouldn't take too long, so I should be back to writing quickly. It'll be a nice escape from the fact that I'm in a new school and practically all alone.
Well, I think that's about it for now. My friend Kyle has been giving me daily writing assignments and I have one due in about...two and a half hours. Better get crackin'!

12:46 pm - Séigi
|
Cat has shown a rather surprising interest in one of my past role plays with my muse. It seems crazy, but she's really interested in it. And because the role playing style was specifically designed for easy reformatting, she's doing just that: reformatting it.
The story line is somewhat of a bootleg from Koyasu Takehito's Weiss Kreuz, whereas, there are four assassins living behind / above a shop of sorts, and they have missions and stuff. My muse and I were focusing on the personal drama between the four assassins, though, instead of their professional drama where they killed for their paychecks.
But, like every role play with my muse, it was never finished. However, Cat's recent interest in it has sparked my own. I started a few stories to explain the background of the two characters that were mine: Donovan and Bryant. I've reread them, edited them slightly, and am somewhat inclined to continue them.
Once the role play is in a rational story-like format--thanks to Cat--it will probably be posted on FictionPress. Or perhaps I'll edit the cover professions of the assassins and where they live, so it can be nearly 100% original. I don't know. But Cat and I plan to join forces and finish the original story line of the role play, and perhaps add in a few elements neither me nor my muse thought of.
When Séigi [that's the title of the assassin role play] is "finished" or at least, is a work in progress as far as continuing the story line is concerned, Cat will probably be taking on the other role plays that my muse and I never finished. Story lines were always angsty and dramatic, there was always m/m romance of some type...ah, it was so much fun. ^_^;
Anyway, as this is my writing journal, don't be surprised to find entries and whatnot from my Partner in Crime. =D We'll always sign our names so you'll be able to tell who's written what.

Currently fighting a bout of Writer's Block, horrible beast that it is.
*Trying* to work on Law and Order right now. After coming up with a half-baked, lame ass ending for it, I went to my friend, Cat, for help. She came up with an AMAZINGLY GENIOUS idea for an ending, which I plan to use. The only problem right now is filling in the gap between main events / points and wording certain things right. I'm sure you writers out there know what I'm talking about, ne?
Recent change of events in terms of my spare time. My parents are psychotic assholes [and I'm not exaggerating when I say that, unfortunately], and they're gonna try to make me spend my Saturdays at Boot Camp or whatever. HAH! Let them try. Anyway, battling this bout of parental insanity may be taking up what time I reserve for writing. I'll post something if my Saturdays will be taken from me or whatever.
So, anyone interested in collaborating and brain storming? Lord knows I need a new round of concepts and ideas to articulate within my stories.
I feel bad for my characters. Whenever I get ticked off or depressed about something, I always take it out on them... Does that make me evil? ^_^;;
